I have been sitting on some news for a little while. I've been desperate to share it. You see I'm normally really bad at keeping quiet about things so don't ever tell me a secret you really don't want me to talk about.
However, I have managed to keep this news to myself ... until now.
A little while ago I received an email that said "You have been awarded a spot for the 2015 Maurice Saxby Mentorship Program."
I read it again and again and did a little happy dance again and again!
This means so many wonderful opportunities. Meeting with publishers, editors, attending school workshops watching established authors do their thing. Another feature is being assigned a mentor who knows what they are talking about that will read my WIP and give me relevant constructive feedback.
Plus other opportunities that are still being decided. I am thrilled to bits about this opportunity. Can't wait to share my journey with you along the way!
How awesome is this news? VERY!! Congratulations, Melissa. This is really exciting and will be a wonderful experience. Can't wait to hear more about it. We must catch up for that coffee. :)
